Joseph Brasher "Joe" Clark was born on 18 November 1902 in Coffee County, Alabama, United States.[1][2] He was the son of William Henry Clark (1872-1916) and Mary Elizabeth (Cotter) Clark (1877-1957).

He and Callie Irene Gunter Clark had been married approximately nine years. They were living in Centerville, Coffee County, Alabama. Joseph Clark was working as a farmer.[5]
Joe D. Clark was enumerated as head of household on the 1940 United States Census. Other members of his household were his wife, Callie, and their children Cecil, J. W., and Gurter. They were living in Centerville, Coffee County, Alabama. Joe was thirty-six years old and working on a farm.[6]
Joe was forty-seven years old when the 1950 United States Census was taken. He and his family were living in Clintonville, Coffee County, Alabama. Joe was working as a farmer.[7]
In 1957, he was mentioned as "Joe Clark, New Brockton [Alabama]" in the obituary of his mother, Mary Clark.[8]
In 1958, he was mentioned in the obituary of his sister, Grace Watkins, as "Joe Clark of New Brockton [Alabama]".[9]
In 1967, Joe Clark was mentioned in the obituary of his brother, Rufus William Clark.[10]
Joe Brasher Clark passed away on 25 October 1981 in Alabama, at the age of 78 years.[2] He was buried in Old Tabernacle Cemetery, New Brockton, Coffee County, Alabama.[11]
