Biography

Jane "Jennie" Clark was born on December 20, 1886, in Troy, Rensselaer County, New York, United States.[1] Her mother was Mary (Logan) Myers.[2] Family lore names her father as David Clark[3], and "Clark" is listed on her birth certificate and her marriage certificate[1][4], but little is known about her father.

She married George Baldrey on November 27, 1907, in Troy.[4] Together they had 3 children:

  3. Mary Baldrey[6]

She died on June 01, 1952 in Troy, Rensselaer County, New York, United States.[7]

Research Notes

Because Jennie's mother Mary's married surname was Myers, not Clark, Jennie is listed as "Jane Myers" or "Jennie Myers" in most census records before her marriage to George Baldrey. The New York State Birth Index lists her name as both "Jane Meyers"[16] and "Jane Clark".[1] However, Jennie's last name given on her marriage license was Clark.[4]
