Sgt. Jesse Clark served with brothers, Adj. John Clark, and Lt. Jonas Clark, in the Revolutionary War under Capt. James N. Martin in the 3rd regiment, commanded by Col. William Polk and in Sumter's Brigade (Thomas Sumter (1734-1832)).[1]
