From a correspondent (reliability unknown): Joshua Clarke’s name is on record of persons taxed by Providence [R.I.] ca. 1681. Following his name is that of Richard Phillips. The name before Joshua’s is Alexander Balcom, minor, so evidently Joshua was of age in 1681. Citation to Providence City Documents Vol. 2 p. 107 (ca. 1902).
Clark-6169 and Clarke-2646 appear to represent the same person because: Correct Joshuas to merge. Per New England
Joshua born ca 1650.

I'm a little confused about your note on Clark-6169. Are you saying that this Joshua (Clark-2646) is in the wrong generation?? Should this Joshua be a son to Clark-6169?
Clark-6169 is set to Open Privacy, so if you have documentation that defines how the relationships should be arranged, it's OK for you to correct them. Just make sure that you cite your sources on the profiles you're changing.
On the other hand, if there is no documentation that Joshua-6169 had a son named Joshua, and there should only be one son named Joshua for Joseph & Margaret (Turner) Clarke, then let's go ahead and merge these two profiles keeping the correct dates.
Thanks! Please let me know if you need help with any of this.
Clark-6169 and Clarke-2646 appear to represent the same person because: Birth date appears to be an estimate on Clark-6169 -- again, odd that they would have sons with the same name and both of them grew to adulthood.
