Burial

Oak Grove Cemetery (original name was Pleasant Hill Cemetery), Seward, Seward, Nebraska, United States[5]

Notes

The original name of the Oak Grove Cemetery was Pleasant Hill. It was probably organized prior to 1873. The first known burial was 1873. This small cemetery is now abandoned and maintained by the County. It is located west and north of Seward, NE on a peaceful hill overlooking the farmland. (I have visited this cemetery. Margaret O. (Clark) Grigsby shares a headstone with her husband, John Wesley Grigsby. Their plot is fenced and the cemetery is well maintained. Age has taken its toll on the stone inscription. It is becoming very difficult to read. This cemetery is probably located very near their home place. Son Thomas F. Grigsby's place is about 2-3 miles northwest of the cemetery.

Shirley Ekdahl, a descendant, has Nov. 18, 1826, as birthdate.
