From other sources:
BIOGRAPHY: Clarks at Battle of Blue Licks, Kentucky in 1782; were in Kentucky by 1774; 1 yr of Daniel Boone (not sure what this last means - that they arrived in Kentucky within one year of Daniel Boone?) Name may be spelled Absalom or Absolum instead.
BIOGRAPHY: Absalom was a blacksmith.
BIOGRAPHY: Much of this information was received from Genevieve Clark, 1680 Calkins #1, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83401 (received June 1992).
BIOGRAPHY: An article out of the Tipton Times (Tipton City is in Moniteau County, Missouri) in 1877 tells about an old folks gathering in Tipton where Absolum B. Clark was the oldest person there and he won a year's subscription to the Tipton Times. In the article it said that the old gentleman said he was born in Kentucky in 1800. (The 1850 census shows him as 46).
BIOGRAPHY: He was known as "Abe".
BIOGRAPHY: He is found on the 1850 census of Fleming County, Kentucky, and on the 1860 census of Douglas County, Illinois, and it is believed that he moved his family from Kentucky to Illinois around 1852. He is shown on the 1870 census of Champaign County, Illinois. AB and Barbary lived with Henry H and Amelia and their family in the 1870's.
BIOGRAPHY: Absolum was found to be with his son, Turner Anderson Clark on the 1880 census of Jasper County, Missouri. Absalom was in Tipton MO in 1887 with his brother (NOT his son) Henry Harrison Clark. He died 24 January 1892 at the home of his daughter Nancy (Clark) Utterback in Monroe County, Missouri. According to the record at the funeral home in Madison (Monroe County), a (no first name listed) Clark, arrangements made by Dick Utterback (son of Nancy, Absolum's daughter who lived in Madison, Missouri). No marker is found in the Sunset Hill Cemetery in Madison, but it is assumed that he must be buried there.
BIOGRAPHY: Middle name may be "Burton".
BIOGRAPHY: Ties to Nicholas County, KY.
BIRTH: Could have been born in Bourbon/Nicholas?
