He married Rebecca McMullen on 2 June 1841 in St Andrews Presbyterian Church, Singleton, New South Wales, Australia and was the fFather of Cassia Clark, James Clark, John Clark, William Clark, Henry Clark, Sarah (Clark) Hall, Susannah Clark, Rebecca (Clark) Shields, Anne Maria Clark, Edward Peter Clark and Mary Ann (Clark) Hall.
John died on 14 November 1875 in Cedar Creek, Wollombi, New South Wales, Australiaand was buried at the Wollombi General Cemetery, Wollombi, New South Wales, Australia .
