Annie Clarke was born in 1853 [1] in Penketh, Lancashire, England, the daughter of Joshua Clarke and Rachel Lomax.
In 1861 Annie (age 8) was living with her parents, siblings and grandfather in Penketh. Her father was a tailor. [2]
In 1871 Annie (age 18) was living with her widowed father, 2 siblings and a nephew in Back Lane, Great Sankey, Lancashire. She was a domestic servant. [3]
