Biography

Ann Clarke was born somewhere within County Cavan, Ireland in about the year 1834. Her parents are believed to be Michael and Ellen Clarke.[1]

Ann married a Patrick Caffery. No records for marriage found, possibly 10 Dec 1855 to Patrick, nr Bailieborough, Co Cavan, Ireland.[citation needed]

Ann and Patrick emigrated to Moreton Bay on the Phoebe Dunbar in 1856.[2]

Ann's death date is given in the burial record as 26 Jul 1911[3][4] Ann's age on the memorial is given as 77 years. It appears that both her husband and her son are also buried in the same grave as their details are also on the memorial stone.

Ann (Clarke) Caffery was buried in the Ipswich General Cemetery, Ipswich, Queensland, Australia.[4]
