Biography

Susannah Clark daughter of Joseph Clarke and Bertha Hubbard was born 31 August 1683 at Westerly, Kings County, Rhode Island. ^[1][2] She married Col. Oliver Babcock (b. 1672, Westerly, RI), son of John and Mary (Lawton) Babcock on JAN 1704/5 in Westerly, Washington County, Rhode Island.^[3] She died before 2 Dec. 1761^[4][5]

Col. Oliver and Susannah Clarke were the parents of nine children born between 1705 and 1726, at Westerly, Kings County, Rhode Island. ^[1]

I come an Being of Sound Mind & Memory For an Aged man praised be God for it & Considering ye uncertainty of this Life Doe Make & ordain This my Last Will & Testament in manner following yt is to Say 1st & principally I Commit my Soul in to the hands of Almighty God hoping for Pardon Remission of all my Sins & In joy Eternal Life through ye alone Merits Death & pafsion of my Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ & my Body I Commit to the Earth to be Decently Buried att the Discrefsion of my Executor hereafter Mentioned & as Touching Such Temporal Estate it hath pleased God to Endow me with I Dispose thereof in manner following:
