Sarah (Clarke) Hickmott was born in Goudhurst, Kent, England.

Sarah was born to Thomas and Charlotte in Goudhurst, Kent, in 1818, and baptised in 1820. [1] In 1834 she married John Clifton in Goudhurst. [2]
