Lucinda was born about 1750.[1] Lucinda's parents was John Clarke of Rath and Alice Drought. [2]
A George Clarke of Rath was married to Lucinda's Aunt named Alice Drought b 1697 d. 1762.[3]
1772 - "John Short of Wingfield, Co. Tipperary Esq to Miss Clark daughter of John Clark of Rath, Kings Co. Esq."[4] [5]
1825 - This Deed refers to the original land grant from King Charles II to John Shortt in 1677 of Gortagarry. It refers to a 9 June 1739 deed which was made in consideration of the marriage of John Short to Frances Spunner which John Short agreed with Charles Spunner to settle lands of Gortagarry for his life and his children or heirs. These individuals were ancestors of Lucinda's husband John Shortt. Lucinda and her husband were also mentioned in this deed.[6]
