He was mustered out 26 July 1861 at Harrisburg, PA, Reenlistment 1 July 1863 Co.G 39th Penn., Vol. and discharged 2 Aug 1863 at Harrisburg, PA. Lived after the war at 328 S.Centre St. Pottsville Pa 1863 to 1898, and worked on the Reading Penn RR. He applied for and was granted pension on 23 May 1892 in Pottsville, Schuylkill Co. Penn. Was residence of Oaklyn, Camden Co. New Jersey in 1910. Died 19 Aug 1913 and was buried in Odd Fellows cemetery in Pottsville Pa.
