She married her first cousin, Henry George Bull. It was Henry's second marriage.[4]
Although Emily is shown as Henry's wife in the 1901[5] and 1911[6] census, it appears that Henry and Emily actually married at Newton Abbot, Devon in 1943. [7]
At the time of the 1901 and 1911 Censuses they were living at Erdington, Warwickshire.[5][6]
At the time of the 1939 Register Henry and Millicent were living at 48 Babbacombe Road, Torquay, Devon. Henry was working as a travelling hairdresser.[8]
↑ A close relative reported to Chris Orme on 19 Apr 2020 that, Emily was known as Millie or Millicent in the family. This information is from family letters and photographs left by Hilda Maude Land. There are letters from Emily signed both Millie and Millicent. The 1911 Census gives her name as Millecent E (see below).
