Biography

John, "the man who scalded the peach tree," was born in 1793. John was the child of Thomas Claton. He married Elizabeth Reynolds Oct. 21, 1817 in Warren Co., Ohio. John died in 1883 and is buried at Patterson Cemetery, Jackson Twp., Shelbyville, Indiana. For information on his mother, see his father's bio.

Could we review why the merge with Claton-25 was rejected? They are very clearly the same person with identical birth and death dates. Both profiles have changed managers, so perhaps we could try again.
