OBITUARY
Walter M. Clawson, 74, Rt. 1, Rossville, died at 1:45 a.m. Saturday at Home Hospital, Lafayette. Born Nov. 21, 1900, in Warren County. he was the son of William and Daisy Banning Clawson. His first marriage was to Deloris Fenters, who died in 1960. He was married in December, 1961, to Mary Smock, who Survives. He was the retired owner of the Clawson Appliance Store in Delphi, now owned by his son, Dan. He was a member of the Delphi Masonic Lodge, the Commandery, Order of Eastern Star, Rotary Club, and the Indianapolis Scottish Rite. Surviving with the wife and son are two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Walker, Lafayette, and Mrs. Kay Burnett, Arlington, Va.; a brother, Arba Clawson, Lafayette, four sisters, Mrs. Dale Miller, Oxford, Mrs. Cecil Martin, Pensacola, Fla., Mrs. Louise Kook, Paris, Ill., and Mrs. Donald Iddings, Schererville; 13 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Services were Monday at the Jackson Funeral Home, Delphi, with the Rev. Donald Ashley officiating. Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery, Delphi.
