Floyd was born in 1893. He was the son of Hurston Clay and Zemenia Parsons. Floyd was Killed in Action south of Soissons, France during combat action in WWI. His body was never recovered or Identified. He is listed on the Tablets of the Missing at the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery near Belleau, France. He had advanced to the rank of Sgt. at the time of his death.
