Mary Ann Clay was born in July of 1851 in Scipio Township, Seneca County, Ohio to John Wesley Clay and [[Heeter-28|Ellen (Heeter) Clay][1]

On 19 Jul 1870, Mary Ann married Thomas Benton Keyse in Seneca County, Ohio.[2] Together, Mary Ann and Thomas Keyse had the following children:

1. Harriet, b. 15 September 1871[3]
2. Oscar Lewis, b. 3 May 1873[4]
3. David Henry, b., 27 Dec 1873[5]
4. Minne Ellen, b. 26 Oct 1876, Henry County, Ohio.[6]
5. Della Arville, b. 22 July 1887[7]
6. Harvey George, b. 21 August 1889[8]

Mary Ann and Thomas raised their children in Green Creek, Sandusky County, Ohio.[9][10]

Mary Ann died on 19 Jul 1851 in Clyde, Sandusky, Ohio. She was buried on 24 Dec 1919 and was buried in McPherson Cemetery.[11]
