Amos Clay was born on 27 Nov 1842 [1]in Scipio Township, Seneca County, Ohio to John and Ellen (Heater) Clay. Census Records show that Amos lived on his father's farm through the age of 22[2][3] On 6 January 1865 in Seneca County, Ohio, Amos married [4][5][6] Amos and Malinda lived in Scipio Township, Seneca County on their farm throughout their lives.[7][8][9][10]
Amos and Malinda had five children:
