Biography

Jesse Clay, son of Charles Clay, Sr. and Mary Chappell, was born about 1740 in Amelia County, Virginia. He married Miss Ann Tanner of Amelia in 1769. She died in 1789. His second wife was Miss Hannah Coleman. He passed away in 1819.

Clay-2734 and Clay-971 appear to represent the same person because: Same spouse. Let's go with the earlier DOB, since my source was sketchy.
