Father might be Charles Clay who is in tithe list for Chesterfield County, Colony of Virginia in 1761.^[1] Or perhaps, John Clay or separate household with Mary Clay and John Clay Junior?^[2] Or perhaps, James Clay?^[3] Or John Clay in 1757?^[4] Or Charles Clay.^[5]

Jane was born about 1742. Most Ancestry.com trees say Jane was born in 1735. When Clay-3100 and Clay-643 were merged, Clay-3100 had date of birth as 'abut 1742'; Clay-643 had date of birth as 'about 1735'.

Clay-3100 and Clay-643 appear to represent the same person because: They are the same person. The birth dates are off, but that can be mentioned in the notes. They are married to the same person (I have requested a merge of Markham-7185 and Marcum-73). I share DNA with Clay-3100's son Josiah and with Clay-643's children Barnett, Elizabeth Frances, and Thomas.
