Sarah Clayton is the daughter of William Clayton of Wakefield. She married, secondly, Sir Robert Monson, son of Sir John Monson and Jane Dighton. She married, firstly, Thomas Saville

Sarah and Robert had a daughter Sarah Monson, Viscountess Corbet of Linchlade (b. circa 1624, d. 5 June 1682).
