My 20 year plus internet hosting company disappeared on me via the pandemic and I haven't received email at my listed email address for 9 months. It's crazy-making. But what's worse is I can't just quickly change my email contact info here on WikiTree! I am sorry for being so late. Will catch up. I have a long list to go through!
my ISP for the email I had listed died on me during the pandemic. I haven't received a notification in months. Give me a chance to catch up. I have been deep on ancestry, and only post on Wikitree when I have made significant progress, so I am just now seeing this!

My ISP disappeared during the pandemic and I lost access to email notifications. Sorry to be so late. Yes. I am deeply invested in research concerning palatine immigrants. I've added 80,000 of them to my database, all connected to me by dna.
I am SPECIFICALLY interested in Cocalico valley culture 1700-1800, but of course connections extend beyond that timeframe and also into Berks, Lebanon and Franklin, at the very least. The Palatine group I have is intermingled with Swiss and Alsatian.
Hi Sarah, I was very excited last night to discover that we have a few common ancestors from the Welzheim area in what is now Baden-Wurtenberg (Wurtenberg back in 17th and 18th centuries)!
I have not entered the connections down to my greatgrandmother on my father's mother's side (Paulina Carolina Weigle, born 1869 in/near Schillinghof, a tiny farming hamlet east of Welzheim), but I did create profie for Katherina Schönemann since your profile of Martin Hinderer 1659-1722 included her as his wife. Not surprising since we are using the same parish record sources! Martin & Katherina were my GGGG grand parents. I have birth death & marriage info for two additional generations for both of them, plus partial info/location for another generation. Thanks for your efforts!
WOW! Hinderer, to me, seems such a rare name! And I was so pleased to be able to trace it back in the church books as far as I have. I did not work out the aligned branches, so it's not a surname study yet. Maybe we will collaborate down the road? The past SEVERAL months I have been working hard on identifying the biological parents of my second great grandmother, who is the mother of Harry Eberly who married Elsa Hinderer (where my Hinderer connection begins.) To do so, I have been using my DNA matches at Ancestry.com in conjunction with whatever few I find at 23andMe to start constructing trees for cousins, and connecting them, if possible, to each other, and then hopefully, to me. I had a few hypothesis to try out, and I am very surprised by the answer I am getting. I will be working to put up the information here, so it's easily accessible. I will get to the other tasks later!
Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, coordinating with others is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

I have concerns about tagging those ancestors since that's just the top of the list working downward. It's pretty thick, my tree, with pre-1700 ancestors. I've been at this for several decades.
I have researched backward through New England, Quebec, Sweden, German, some Pennsylvanian (although most of those Pennsylvanian records only sometimes go before 1700 for me) registers all the way back to the beginning of the church books. I doubt I am going to want to go much further back than Luther with any of these lines, on my own. But yes. It is a cloud-project. We all have so much to lend to each of these deep ancestors. If one of us descends from them, likely thousands do. Getting it right, to the extent possible, is very important for everyone.
Thanks for working on pre-1700 ancestors! Please note that per the pre-1700 self-certification quiz, a user-contributed tree such as the one used as source for Munz-143 is not sufficient for a pre-1700 profile. The quiz even states specifically that "an Ancestry tree" does not constitute a reliable source. Please take a moment to add a reliable source. See also Help:Pre-1700 Profiles.
You didn't "screw up". Took awhile but came across some info from the NSSAR & Find a Grave. Your comment got me thinking & digging. "(I've screwed this up and added a "private" Thomas Marvin as Mehitabel's father (Since the dates were correct, why shouldn't I have? Why would I assume her father would be Private?) Now there seems to be no activity on that particular father, and so I am at a loss for how to further construct her tree.)"

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Also noticed you made 450 contributions to Wikitree, thank you! Here at WikiTree we like to have our members involved with others; collaboration is key!

I see you mentioned Württemberg; we have a project dealing with German Roots! Check it out here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:German_Roots
You also mentioned Charlemagne, Check out our European Aristocrats here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:European_Aristocrats
Lastly, why don't you stop by the One Name Studies project. The current leaders for that are Doug Lockwood and Alison Andrus.
Again, thanks for volunteering to work on Pre-1700 profiles!
