George was born in 1868. He was the son of George Clazy and Mary Ford.

He was in the 1871 census at Coldstream; 1881 at Edington Mains, Chirnside; 1891 at Ravelaw farm, Whitsome; then moved to Northumberland, shown in the 1901 census at Tynemouth. The 1911 census showed:

"George Clazie, head, age 42, married 17 years, total 5 children, 4 alive, railway number taker, N.E. Railway Co., born Hutton, Berwickshire"

He passed away about about March 1920 at Tynemouth.
