Biography

George Willis married Mary Cleary, the sister of his army friend, Captain Cleary, (there is a story that George Willis and Cleary first met in gaol in Quebeck where they had both been imprisoned for fighting duels).

The child of George Willis and Mary Cleary -
Anne Willis born 1810 died after 1870; married Luke Patrick Knight, 1836 in Corkimmons, Clones, Monaghan. The daughters of Luke and Anne - Elizabeth, Mary and Margaret Knight were beneficiaries in the will of George Paul Willis
