William Cleeland was born in the Colony of Victoria (1851-1900)

William Ford Cleeland was born in Upper Plenty in 1861. He was the son of William Ford Cleeland and Jane Ann Thompson.^[1]

In 1898, he married Elizabeth Lockhart.^[2] They had four sons and two daughters.^[3] William was a grazier in the Barjarg.

He passed away on 30th November 1941, aged 80 years, and is buried in the Mansfield Cemetery.^[4][5]
