Biography

Elizabeth Ellen Clegg was the sixth known child of Thomas Clegg and Elizabeth (Duckworth) Clegg.[1][2]

Birth

She was born 25 July 1867 at Longridge, Lancashire, England and was baptised 15 September 1867 in the Parish Church of St Lawrence, Longridge.[1][3][4]

Marriage

Elizabeth Ellen Clegg and Edward Crook were married 6 September 1888 in the Parish Church of St Lawrence, Longridge, Lancashire.[5][6] He died in 1933.[7]

Residence

  • 1871 (with her parents) at Chapel Hill, Longridge, Lancashire.[3]
  • 1881 at Fell Brow, Longridge.[8]
  • 1891 (married) at Pitt Street, Longridge.[9]
  • 1901 to 1911 at Mersey Street, Longridge.[10][11]
  • 1939 to 1948 (widowed) at The Bottoms, Dilworth, Longridge.[4][12]

Occupation

In 1881 she was a Cotton Weaver.[8]

Death

Elizabeth Ellen Crook died 30 November 1948 at The Royal Infirmary, Preston, Lancashire.[12] She was 81 years of age.[13]

Administration granted 10 February 1949 to her sons Ernest Clegg and Cecil Staton Clegg.[12]
