Biography
John was born in about 1905. His father was W. H. Clegg. He married Eva May Kilgour in 1928.[1] He passed away in 1971.[2]
Both John Clegg and Eva May (Kilgour) Clegg died in Wellington, John 18 November 1971 and Eva 22 November 1978, and were cremated at Karori Cemetery. John cremated 20 November 1971 and ashes interred 8 December 1971 in the Karori Cemetery Rosegarden Plot 20 Row 13 Eva cremated 27 November 1978 and ashes interred 28 November 1978 in the Karori Cemetery Rosegarden Plot 20a Row 13
Their names appear on the family plinth in the Kelvin Grove Cemetery, Palmerston North. No current photograph is available.
