Biography

Noah Clem was born in 1809. He was the son of David Clem and Catherine Walter of Shenandoah County, Virginia.

Noah Clem was married to Magdalena Ridenour in 1832 at Shenandoah County, Virginia.[1][2]

Noah Clem was elected the first Justice of the Peace for Monroe Township, Allen County, Indiana in 1841.[3] French immigrant Peter Schlemmer went home to get his citizenship papers in order to cast the tie-breaking vote in that historic election.
