Biography

John was born in 1803. He passed away in 1880. John Bennetts Clemens baptized 17 Jan 1803 St Just, married Martha Casley on 5 May 1832 at St Just. In 1841 John Clemens 39 was an engineer living at New Chapel Street, St Just, with Martha 38, Mary 5, John 3, and Martha 2. In 1851 John Clements 47 tin miner lived at Chapel street, St Just, with Martha 46, Mary 15 tin dresser, John 14 tin miner, Martha 10, William 9 and James 7, all born at St Just. In 1861 John 58 was a tin miner living in Chapel street St Just with Martha 57, William 20, James 18 and seven boarders. In 1871 John 68 was a tin miner living in Chapel street with Martha 68, and married daughter Martha May 31 and her six children.
