Biography
George Clemens is a part of US Black heritage.
George Clemens and his wife Harriet had five children (son George and daughters Allie, Florence, Jennie, Classie, and Joanna "Anna") while they were enslaved by Morgan Clements and his father Hardy just outside of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. [1]
His daughter Anna remembered him going to the American Civil War with Morgan Clemens and said that he never returned.[1]
