  • First-hand information. Entered by Reverie Rowlett at registration.

I research the Clement line, beginning in the 1700s in New York Colony. My Kuniholm line is from Sweden, 1900s. The New York lines are promarily from the Niagara Falls area, Delaware County, and Canada (Loyalists). In Delaware Co., there are few lines we are not related to at some point. In my husband's line, I research the Rowlett line, from Virginia colony, as well as the many adjoining lines. The Rowlett line leads thru Kentucky, Tennessee and Texas and adds many lines such as the Owen, Armistead, and Bruce lines. I am always willing to give info to anyone in our lines.

Hello Reverie and Welcome!

I am managing a name study here on Wikitree for the Britton surname. My particular interest is for those originally from Fermanagh, Ireland.

Here’s the name study page - Brittton Name Study Category Page. As you add ancestors to Wikitree please add the relevant category so they appear on these pages too!

If you have DNA tested and your Britton ancestors came from Ireland we would love you to join us at FTDNA in our ‘Brittons of Ireland’ project. Even if you have tested at another DNA site, its free to transfer your data to FTDNA! I hope you join us! Brittons of Ireland - DNA project support page
