André was born in 1751. He wasn't the first of that name, though. There was an older brother born 2 May 1749, baptized as André on 4 May 1749[1], who sadly died at only 13 months of age, on 9 June 1750, and was buried on 10 June 1750 in the cemetery of Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse.[2]

There seems to be no record of André's death, just references to him being gone and several years from the Province, at his wife's burial in 1798.[5]
