On August 1st, 1813 George Augustus Clement was baptised, son of John and May (sic). [1] He worked in a store there from the age of 14 until 1832. He farmed until 1851. [2] He was a merchant by 1852. [3]
The grave marker for George in St. Marks Cemetery, Niagara-on-the-lake gives his dates as 10 April 1813 to 29 September 1887.
