Joyce Clements was born about the year 1737 in Goochland County, Virginia. Her parents were Stephen Clements and Elizabeth_ _ _ _ _? On the 10th of January 1757 also in Goocland County, she married Francis Houchins. They had these children:

DEATH: Louisa county, Virginia Will book 6, page 215. Inventory of estate of Francis Houchins, Sr., deceased, 16 April 1821, total $69.50 by Meriwether Smith, John P. Thomasson, William Talley, John Thomasson, Edwards Houchins, bitmap. Recorded 14 May 1821. I assume that this inventory was done at the time of Joyce's death.

DEATH: She was still living in 1811 when she was mentioned in the Louisa county, Virginia deed book (page 529, 2 March 1811) as follows "whereon Joicy Houchins, the widow of said Francis, now resides."

A William and Ann are mentioned along with other known children of Francis and Joyce in Louisa County, Virginia Deed Book "P", page 195 in sale of land to Francis A. Houchin of Goochland County.
