Hi Mary. Thank you for updating General Gillespie's profile. One small problem. He was from Tennessee but he was Union all the way. US Military academy, Second in class. Worked with General's Sheridan and Meade. Remained in Army and he served as Army Assistant Chief of Staff in 1904-05 . The Gillespie family has been interesting to work on.
Al, making more than one thousand contributions in September added so much to the breadth and depth of our Shared Tree. The Appreciation Team thanks YOU!
Al, thank you for each of your more than 1000 contributions to our Shared Tree for the month of August 2019. All of your work makes our Tree all that much better.

Hello Al, I've been going over my watchlist to either correct errors or include new information. I ran into a profile that you had altered. You removed the Find A Grave template from Thompson-14221, William D. Thompson. That is the appropriate template, Al. Please do not remove them. Thank you.
John Poe (Poe-747) - note: Possible second wife: Catherine Borders. Marries a John Poe 1804 in Winchester, Frederick, Virginia. Need to research if it's this John Poe or his son, John Poe, bn 1785.
Al, another handy way to add direct links to FindAGrave from the new citation format is to simply shorten the text Find A Grave Memorial no. 35615121 and add brackets to use the FindAGrave template. See this change. Thanks!
In Reference to Mourning Dove White I agree however I am trying to get a bit more proof before I disconnect. I disconnected once but too MANY people believe she married her brother and had children? Which I find highly unlikely. I will look at merging her and White-24134 today. thank you. I realize her father's name was white her whole clans name is white but I was trying to find some Indian records of this. matter fact I have found a few Mourning's in the records but not sure which one is her if any. apparently there are a few.
I have added the Civil War sticker, categories, and the MOH for Civil War, and reformatted the profile of https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Gillespie-3038
Thank you for your interest in the Roll of Honor

Thanks for your help. Al
Changed to Union... https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Gillespie-3038
1905 is a long time to keep Gillespie in the Civil War sticker, so I put that in the Bio. and added categories.
If you find anything that gives a better Regiment for him, then add in Bio and here...
