Francis was born in 1762 in Southampton Co., Virginia. He is the son of Benjamin Clements and Elizabeth Williamson. Francis inherited the land his father lived which also, included land in North Carolina received from Thomas Williamson his mother, Elizabeth Williamson's Father. Francis married Rebecca Parker on the 22 September 1794 in Sussex Co., Virginia, Southampton's neighbor. Rebecca's mother, Mary signed for consent, because Rebecca was not yet 21. Frances Clements died bef. 1808 in Southampton County, VA, when Rebecca Clements his widow remarried John Barham.
