Biography

George was born in 1747 and is the son of Johann Klemmer and Anna Beckel. In 1776, he married Margaretha Elizabeth Dettero. George died in 1785.

John Dettero married Elizabeth Clemmer sister to John Clemmer son of Valentine.[1]

His father, Johann Ludwig Klemmer was killed in an ambush by the Delaware Indians. George's mother, Anna, and another brother and were captured. His mother, Anna, was killed a short time later when she tried to escape. George and his brother were held captive 6 years.
