Dorothea Clerke was daughter of Nicholas Clerke of North Weston in Oxfordshire. Her first husband was Henry Long of Shingay, Cambridgeshire, son of Richard Long and his wife, Margaret Donington. Their only child was a daughter, Elizabeth. Henry died in 1573. [1]

Dorothea's second marriage was to Sir Charles Morison of Cassiobury, son of Richard Morrison and his wife, Bridget Hussey. Together they had four children including Bridget and Charles. [2]
