Biography
Eli Cleveland was born about 1734 in Albemarle or Spotsylvania, Virginia. He was the son of Alexander Cleveland and Margaret Doolittle. He died about 1829 in Fayette County, Kentucky. [1]
He married Mary Simpson.[2] It is assumed he had no living children at the time of his death, and that his wife had died previously. In his will, he left the majority of his estate to his niece Martha Patsy Cleveland and her husband Bernard Franklin. [1] Bernard was an executor for the estate of Eli Franklin.[3]
