Biography

Lewallen Gilliam Cleveland was born on June 14, 1826,[1] in Habersham, Georgia. He was the son of William Cleveland and Isabella,Eba Morris.
He was a CSA/Field and Staff Commissary, 1st Battalion Cavalry, 1st Division, MO State Guard. He was a farmer, a Baptist, and Master Mason. His widow Mary E Cleveland was the beneficiary on his Confederate Civil War, Pension.[2][3]
He was married five times and had five sons and seven daughters.
1. He married Jane Eliza (Brodie) Cleveland, May 13, 1847. His wife Jane Eliza passed away on April 14, 1856, in White Rock, Missouri, at the age of 23. They had been married 8 years. (4 children)

He died on July 5, 1884, in Missouri at the age of 57, and was buried in McDonald, Missouri.[1]

Lewallen was age 23, with birth year as abt. 1827, from Georgia. He, wife Jane E, was age 18, and son William L age 1, are living with her Parents, L Brodie-49 /John Lodowick Brodieand wife Amanda-45/Amanda Malvina (Anthony) Brodie, and family. They were living in Neosho, Newton Co., Missouri.[8]

1860

In 1860 He was age 34, living in Pineille, McDonald Co., Missouri. His occupation is Farmer and the household members were: Wife Catharine-23-F; W L(William Lodowick)-11; Amanda J-9-F; Mary E-7-F; Martha J-5-F; from his first marriage and Alpha H-1-F; and Francis L-3/12-F, from his marriage to wife Catherine.[9]

1870

In 1870 he was still farming in Pineville, McDonald co., Missouri, with his new wife, Mary A Cleveland. The children in the home were Amanda-19, Francis-14, Alpha-12, Lavada10, and Susan-8.[10]

1880

by June 22, 1880 He at age 55, and Mary age 44 were lliving in White Rock (later named Jane), McDonald, Missouri, with Francis L, age 20-daughter; Susan M. Age 18- daughter; James F. Age 10-son; John L age 8-son; Joel H age 6-son; Nancy L age 4-daughter; and Charlie C. Age 2-son.[11]
