Ila Laurine Helms, 93, passed away Saturday, Jan.10, 2015, in Glen Rose, Texas.

Graveside services will be held today at Belvieu Cemetery in Rotan, directed by Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home.

Born March 3, 1921, in Fisher County, Texas, Ila was the daughter of Jonathon and Ima (Moise) Cleveland. She married Roy O. Helms in 1946 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her favorite scripture was the 23rd Psalm, and her favorite song was “In The Garden.”

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Helms; four sisters, Edna, Catherine, Dollie, and Jetta; and three brothers, Bruce, Douglas, and J.R. Jr.

Ila leaves behind one daughter, Brenda Hurst; one grandson, Roy Moseley; one granddaughter, Debra George; two great-granddaughters, Alexis and Anna Moore; and one great-great-grandson, Lincoln Winston.
