Biography
Unadilla - Grover H. Cleveland, 83, of 64 Main street, Unadilla, died Tuesday March 17, 1970 at his home following a short illness. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Joyce Funeral Home in Unadilla, officiating clergyman will be Elder O'Dell and Padden, burial will be at a later date in the Evergreen Hills cemetery. Mr. Cleveland was born May 1, 1890 in Chester Nova Scotia, the son of Elias and Matilda(Hyson)Cleveland. He married Millie Wetzel on February 1, 1922 in Mahon Bay, Nova Scotia. Mr. Cleveland was a retired Machinist with the Bendix Corp in Sidney.Survivors include the widow, Mrs Millie Cleveland of Unadilla; a daughter, Virginia Weatherbee of Buffalo; a son, Theodore Cleveland of Buffalo and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Scott. Friends may call at their convenience at the Joyce Funeral Home, Unadilla. [Tri Town News, March 18, 1970]
