Biography

Jeremiah Cleveland was part of a Southern Pioneer Family.

Jeremiah Cleveland, son of John H. Cleveland and Mary McCann, was born about 1772 in Blue Run, Orange County, Virginia.[1][2][3]

He married Obedience (Callaway) Cleveland (1781-1831) in South Carolina, probably before 1800, when their first child was born.[3][1][2] They settled in South Carolina, and had six children.[3]

Jeremiah died in 1827 in Pickens County, South Carolina (later to become Oconee County) and was buried at at Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery, Fair Play, Oconee County, South Carolina. His memorial has photos and links to those of family members. .[1]
