"B.Frank Click, 92, passed away May 1, 2017 in Highlands Ranch, CO. Frank is survived by his 2 loving daughters; 2 grandsons (1 deceased); 3 granddaughters; 2 great-granddaughters and 2 great-grandsons. Born July 24, 1924 in Covington, KY to Berryman F. and Marjorie (Corbin) Click.
Frank was raised in Covington and graduated from Dixie Heights High School. During WWII, while attending flight training at Wright Patterson AFB, he met his wife, Jean (deceased), at a USO dance. He completed a degree in aeronautical engineering from the U. of Cincinnati and had a long and rewarding career with Lockheed Martin, first in Baltimore, and then in Denver. Beginning in 1969, Frank was instrumental in NASA’s Project Viking to design and build two Mars landers, which culminated with the landing in 1976.
After his retirement, he and Jean enjoyed many years of traveling; they were married 57 years. Frank was endeared to all who knew him with his fun-loving nature and gracious spirit. He was a master craftsman, enjoyed sporting events, and took pleasure in his cars. Frank played piano and could be counted on for a smooth jitterbug with Jean at weddings and parties."[1]
