(From Our Own Correspondent). Halcombe, November 8. A wedding of a popular young couple took place at the residence of Mr George Runciman of Halcombe, yesterday, when Mr A. Runciman, son of Mr J. Runciman, who has been one of the staff at the Co-operative Stores, Marton, for some time, was united in matrimony to Miss Annie Clifford, of Christchurch. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. Blake. Mr N. Small, of Utiku, acted as best man, aud Miss L. Runciman carried out the duties of bridesmaid. As was to be expected, the presents were both numerous, costly, and elegant, and their many friends will join in wishing them a long life and happiness.[4][5]
