Riley Clifton was born about 1849 in Tennessee, United States, son of Josiah Redman Clifton (1818–1896) and Mary Margaret Moore (1825–<1923).[1]
In 1850, Riley was in the household of Redie Clifton in Nacogdoches county, part of, Nacogdoches, Texas. [2]
