Mrs. Lucretia Green died at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Perry Johnson, west of Columbus Sunday of general infirmities, aged 88 years.
Mrs. Green was born in Kentucky October 11, 1840. She moved to Jackson County fifty years ago. In 1869 she was married to Samuel B. Green, who preceded her in death.
She leaves nine children, Sadie, Daniel, Martha, Samuel, William h. James R and A.A. Free, all of Seymour; Thomas Green, of Crothersville, and Mrs. Perry Johnson, of Columbus; two brothers, Wm. Clifton, of Shoals; Tom Clifton, of Marengo; thirty-three grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Seymour Nazarene Church Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock in charge of the Rev. H.G. Pierson, assisted by the Rev. W. J. Abraham. Burial in the Chestnut Ridge Cemetery.
