Isaac Cline was a farmer and a teamster. After he sold his farm in the Oxford Township in Guernsey County, he moved to Cambridge and drove a coal wagon. His granddaughter, Bessie White, recalled her grandfather very fondly and said he was the kindest man she ever knew. Although the Cline family originally was Lutheran, at some point they became Presbyterian. Isaac taught Sunday school at the Presbyterian Church.
