He inherited a 200 acre farm in Warren Co and added 200 more acres. He was a member and elder, Pres Ch, Harmony, NJ. Both buried in St James Luth Ch (Old Straw) cemetery.

NOTE: The History of Sussex and Warren counties, New Jersey listed below states that Lewis (Jr) settled on the homestead 2 years before his father's death in 1842, at which time Lewis (Sr.) moved to Greenwich and lived on the land now occupied by Michael Cline. The paragraph also says and that Lewis (Jr) had 10 children, 5 girls and 5 boys. It does not list all of their names, nor the wife, but it does state sons Lewis Cline and Dr. Garner Cline continued to live in Harmony, Michael lived in Greenwich, John lived in Franklin, and daughter Christina Cline Davidson lived in Oxford.
